CT Management Group Chairman, Executive Directors, Staff and Associates wish to record their sympathy to Trish and her family following Peter’s passing away on the 22 September 2019.
Peter was a qualified Civil and Municipal Engineer and worked in both the private and local government sectors with a broad range of experience in metropolitan, regional and rural Councils. His final full-time council position was as Director Geecon, a commercially focussed operation within the City of Greater Geelong in 1995.
Peter was a founding Director and Principal of the CT Management Group. Peter has been a lead player in implementing Statewide Asset Management Improvement Programs within Tasmania, Victoria, Qld and WA.
Peter had in excess of 30 years’ experience working in local government and the last 24 years providing variety of consulting services through CT Management Group.
As part of the CT Management Group team, Peter was an integral part of Asset Management implementation within Victoria (MAV 2006 Advanced Step), Tasmania (TAMI and Asset Renewal programs), Queensland (LG Asset 2006-08 program) and with WALGA implementing their WAAMI Asset Management Improvement program.
Over the years Peter held various key positions including: President of IPWEA Victoria and member of IPWEA National Board, member LGMC Benchmarking Team, member Local Government Industry Working Party, MAV Performance Indicators Working Group, inaugural member LGPro Board, member Manningham Maintenance Board and Vice Chairman IEAust Regional Group.
Peter presented many papers at local, state and national levels on a variety of issues including Asset Management, Benchmarking, Performance Management, Quality Relationship Management, Road Maintenance and Community Consultation. In 1990, he was the recipient of the National LGEA Foundation Award that saw him undertake an extensive study tour in USA specialising in Performance Measurement in local communities.
Peter’s Leadership, compassion for others and positive bubbly nature will a lasting memory for all of us at CT management Group.
Peter will be sadly missed by the Local Government family.
