The Federal Government has committed $500 million to the Local Road and Community Infrastructure Program to support jobs, businesses and resilience of local economies over 2020-21. Councils will be able to elect the projects to be funded in accordance with local priorities.
Similar to the Roads to Recovery Program councils are required to submit a Works Schedule outlining the projects that they plan to undertake, as long as projects are eligible local road or community infrastructure projects, they will receive funding.
